Nature Postitive Matters

Driving nature positive change in the private sector

How we launched a website to inspire nature positive action

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is leading the Nature Positive Leaders Initiative, motivating the private sector to adopt and champion nature-positive practices. With the Global Nature Positive Summit approaching, they needed a website that would showcase the initiative, boost industry engagement, and build trust by aligning with consumer values.

What we did

  • Digital branding
  • Wireframing
  • New website design
  • Website build and launch
  • Website management and hosting

Co-designing a distinct brand for Nature Positive Matters

At Jude, collaboration is at the core of our process, and we integrate co-design activities into every client partnership. For the Nature Positive Matters website, we teamed up with DCCEEW stakeholders to build a brand that resonates. Through a blend of Figjam sessions and in-person workshops, we explored ideas and visuals to capture the essence of the website’s purpose. Together, we analysed standout industry examples and refined a unique, memorable brand identity that sets Nature Positive Matters apart.

Refining designs through wireframes

Using wireframes, we transformed ideas into visual representations of the website’s structure and key page layouts. This process allowed us to explore different solutions and make well-informed design decisions from the start. By making adjustments early and frequently, we ensured that the entire team had a clear, unified vision of what needed to be built, saving time and reducing the potential for costly changes later.

A GovCMS implementation

We developed the Nature Positive Matters website on the GovCMS SaaS platform with CivicTheme, delivering a fast, secure, and fully compliant solution. GovCMS provided a robust foundation tailored for government needs, allowing us to work swiftly within tight deadlines. Leveraging our expertise in Drupal’s front and back-end, we launched a cohesive, branded site in time for the Global Nature Positive Summit, confident in its long-term stability and easy maintenance.

A scalable website to promote the nature positive agenda

In a 6-week timeframe, Jude went from site requirements to user acceptance testing and launch. This included:

  • Defining the site requirements through a discovery workshop
  • Iterative design and testing of wireframes
  • Producing brand assets and guidelines
  • Conducted front and back-end development including content type and taxonomy, database configuration, user roles and permissions, theming, and user interface
  • Testing to ensure WCAG compliance, security and performance, usability and functionality of the site before go-live
  • Content writing and publishing
  • Integration and user acceptance testing
  • Deployment and launch with supporting technical documentation
